Writer's Block

Whoo - hoo! I am so excited to be guest blogging for Jeannie over at Kindergarten Lifestyle! When I got the email that I would be guest blogging my brain was so full of ideas that I wanted to write about. But when the time came to sit down and write I froze. Uh-oh....I was experiencing writer's block.  I must tell you it was very frustrating! I kept reading all of these FABULOUS posts by Jeannie herself and other amazing guest bloggers as I sat with NO ideas for my post.  Well this made me think of my kiddos and how I help them when they seem to be stuck when writing.  In my post I describe my "seasonal" approach to teaching writing through the year and the tricks that seem to help my struggling writers.  I also include a few organizational ideas that have really made a difference with helping my kids organize their writing ideas AND their materials!
Our writer's workshop organizational chart

Our writing tubs! Great for holding their writing folders, journals, word rings and supplies. They can take these to their writing spots.

So this was a peek at some of the ideas that I posted about on Kindergarten Lifestyle. Hop on over to check out the rest! Happy almost Friday!

  2. I loved your guest post over at Kindergarten Lifestyle. I didn't know what to write about either when I sat down to write my post. I even had the wrong date in my head about when I was suppose to guest post.
